Delegation of the European Union

In an effort to describe some of the key programmes in which it had invested over the course of 25 years since the advent of democracy in South Africa, the Delegation of the European Union to South Africa commissioned an extensive visibility campaign. This three-year project involved producing 10 case studies that were compiled into a comprehensive report, and 10 accompanying mini documentaries.

I served as the project’s primary researcher and writer. My work involved interviewing senior officials within both the European Union and the South African government, as well as individuals and organisations who had implemented the programmes concerned at a grassroots level. These interviews were supplemented by extensive research, and the writing of all the case studies and voice-over scripts.

Through this campaign’s implementing partner Particip GmbH, I have also undertaken brochure copywriting for the Delegation of the European Union to Somalia.
