The imaginations of Valparaiso
inAs it turns out, I don’t have an ass of steel at the end of day two in Valparaiso. I have an ass of jelly and I have legs of jelly. Yesterday I walked, and walked and walked and walked. And then I went for a run. Today I walked, and walked and walked. And then I went for a run. And now, I am done. Me and my jelly bum are done.
But what a reward today’s sights were. I went to an area known for its street art and could hardly believe what worlds the walls held. I could try and describe them all, but I think perhaps my brain has turned to jelly too, and so I will let the pieces speak for themselves.
And then, as I was walking home, there he was, painting his sunflowers beneath a starry night.
Tomorrow, I give my bum and legs a break as I head eight hours north to the city of La Serena. My CouchSurfing requests have yielded no responses, and I have not booked any accommodation as back up, but I know that things will fall into place when I get there. Somehow.
